Location: Remote / available office space in London (Ad-hoc travel into London required)
Salary: 28-30k dependant on experience
Reporting To: Lead Carbon Analyst
Closing Date: 31st January 2026
About Us:
We’re the Zero Carbon Company, a group of passionate individuals who’ve come together to fight the climate crisis, one meal at a time. We’re working with some of the UK’s most well-known Hospitality brands—restaurants, pubs, breweries, and hotels—to tackle one of the largest sources of climate emissions: food.
Food and drink account for a huge 35% of the UK’s carbon emissions, so we’re facing a massive challenge. But it’s also an incredible opportunity to make a real difference. Our aim is to reshape food systems from (regenerative) farm to (responsible) fork, creating a sustainable future. Our goal is net zero, and we’re committed to getting there with transparency, ambition, and accountability.
Together, we have the power to be, and lead, the change the world needs.
We focus on two main areas:
- The Zero Carbon Forum (ZCF): A non-profit collaboration where hospitality businesses join forces to implement an ambitious net-zero roadmap
- Zero Carbon Services (ZCS): A social enterprise helping businesses go further with tailored carbon footprinting, reduction strategies, and sustainability consulting
At Zero Carbon Services, we’re a small, dedicated team that’s growing fast. We need a talented data analyst to help us turn our vision into real, measurable action on climate change. If you’re passionate about sustainability and want to be part of something that’s making a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you.
About You:
You’re a self-motivated person who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ve got a sharp eye for detail, love problem-solving, and take pride in producing high-quality work. Most importantly, you’re driven by the desire to create positive change for the planet.
You’ll need to:
- Work with large data sets, turning them into meaningful insights that drive action
- Make sense of complex data and present it in a way that’s easy to understand and act upon
- Spot any gaps in the data and apply logical thinking to fill them
- Be comfortable with statistical analysis and numbers
This role will place you at the heart of the hospitality sector’s journey to net zero, helping us build tools and systems that track progress and help clients set and achieve their sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various sources
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Continuously refine data collection processes to improve efficiency
- Assist in developing and automating our tech platforms and data processing systems
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for working with data and making it work for sustainability
- Strong expertise in Excel (if you’re a spreadsheet wizard, we’ll get along fine)
- A keen interest in sustainability and a desire to tackle the climate crisis
- A willingness to learn, grow, and evolve as part of our team
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Bonus Points:
- Experience in the Hospitality industry
- Familiarity with the GHG Protocol
- Previous experience in carbon footprinting
- Programming skills
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at all levels of our business. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
