Diesel Shuttle Truck Technician

Are you a highly skilled diesel technician ready to take on something more specialized? We’re looking for a Diesel Shuttle Truck Technician with expertise in hydraulic systems, electric yard trucks, and 480-volt power systems. This isn’t your typical diesel role — we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced shuttle truck environment and can keep our equipment moving during peak agricultural seasons.

 What You’ll Do:

• Service and repair diesel and electric shuttle/yard trucks (e.g., Capacity, Ottawa, Orange EV)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot 480V high-voltage electric systems, including chargers, battery packs, and control units
• Maintain and repair complex hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and valves
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
• Use diagnostic tools to read fault codes, system alerts, and performance data
• Document all repairs and communicate status with dispatch and fleet managers
• Assist with emergency breakdowns to keep shuttle operations running smoothly
• In Season: Day travel during summer months to support onsite operations
• Off Season: Complete annual maintenance and repairs before next season

 What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician or fleet mechanic
• Hands-on experience with electric yard trucks and 480V 3-phase electrical systems
• Strong understanding of hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to diagnose issues using OEM software and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with EV safety procedures and PPE protocols
• Must be self-driven, safety-focused, and capable of working independently
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred
• Certifications in diesel repair, high-voltage EV systems, or hydraulics a strong plus
• Safety sensitive position requires regular ability to pass drug tests
