About the Role
We are currently looking for candidates for the position of Energy Systems Technical Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about energy systems, technical leadership, and driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical activities, supporting project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the Energy Systems area.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Organization Building Build, structure, and lead the European technical team (engineering, applications, service), Ensure full technical capability to support:
• Water Absorption Chillers
• Auxiliary HVAC systems (cooling towers, heat recovery, controls, hydraulics)
• Define technical processes, standards, service procedures, and documentation
• Lead technical training and capability development for internal teams and partners
• Coordinate closely with Japan for:
Technical alignment
Product customization
Knowledge transfer and escalation
Customer & Market Interface (HVAC & Industrial Clients)
Act as the senior technical interface with customers, including:
• Industrial sites
• OEMs
• Energy and utility-related clients
• Support commercial discussions with:
• HVAC system architecture input
• Absorption chiller selection and sizing
• Integration into existing thermal systems
• Lead technical assessments, feasibility studies, and system validation
• Ensure reliable technical delivery throughout project lifecycle
Service & Maintenance Network Setup Manage relationships with:
• HVAC distributors and system integrators
• Local service providers and engineering firms
• Internal engineering teams and HQ experts
• Build a reliable, multi-country technical partner ecosystem
• Ensure alignment across commercial, technical, and service stakeholders
Operational & Strategic Contribution
• Define the technical roadmap for absorption chiller deployment in Europe
• Support scaling of HVAC operations across multiple countries
• Identify and mitigate technical, service, and operational risks
• Contribute to product and service strategy based on European market needs
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering / HVAC
• Experience in WFC
• Experience 5-8 years with areas:
Technical or engineering roles
Strong experience in HVAC industry (mandatory)
Water Absorption Chillers (mandatory)
Industrial cooling and thermal systems
• Demonstrated experience in setting up service and maintenance networks
• Extensive customer-facing technical experience
• Prior exposure to matrix, JV, or multi-stakeholder environments preferred
• Experience operating in multi-country / international environments
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency in English.
• Microsoft tools.
• Availability to travel
