For one of our clients, a rapidly growing ClimateTech scale-up based in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Digital Twin Engineer to help develop high-fidelity digital models of renewable energy assets and intelligent infrastructure.


You'll work on cutting-edge simulation platforms that replicate the behaviour of wind farms, energy storage systems, and smart grid infrastructure, enabling engineers to predict performance, optimise operations, and improve reliability before changes are deployed in the real world.

What You'll Be Working On

• Designing and developing digital twins for renewable energy systems and critical infrastructure

• Building high-performance simulation environments to model complex operational scenarios

• Developing software that analyses system behaviour and predicts performance under changing conditions

• Creating visual simulations that help engineers validate new designs and operational strategies

• Collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and energy specialists to improve simulation accuracy

• Optimising simulation performance for large-scale digital twin environments

• Helping shape the company's next-generation intelligent infrastructure platform


Experience Required

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Simulation Engineering, Digital Twin Development, Software Engineering, or Scientific Computing

• Strong Python and modern C++ programming skills

• Experience developing simulation software or modelling complex physical systems

• Experience working with Digital Twin technologies or virtual system modelling

• Good understanding of software architecture and scalable engineering practices

• Passion for solving complex engineering challenges with measurable real-world impact


Nice to Have

• Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity for simulation and visualisation

• Knowledge of physics-based modelling or numerical simulation techniques

• Experience working with IoT platforms or real-time sensor data

• GPU programming or high-performance computing experience

• Familiarity with cloud-native deployment and containerised applications

• Previous experience in EnergyTech, ClimateTech, Smart Cities, or industrial automation
