Position Summary

Xpansiv is seeking a Sales Development & Market Research Intern to support our commercial teams during the summer internship period. This role provides hands‑on exposure to sales operations, sales support, and market research activities within a fast‑paced, commodity‑focused organization.

The internship is designed as a broad, learning‑oriented role, supporting Sales Operations and Sales Development teams with day‑to‑day coordination, research, and analysis tasks. The intern will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the sales organization and gain practical experience supporting revenue‑generating teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations & Support

  • Provide part‑time support to Sales Operations teams
  • Assist with coordination of sales operations tasks as defined by Sales Operations stakeholders
  • Support internal sales processes across teams as needed


Sales Development Support

  • Support SDRs and sales team members with outbound sales activities
  • Assist with target list creation for different industry sectors
  • Conduct research tasks requested by sales team members
  • Provide general, ad‑hoc sales support across the team


Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct industry and market research, including:
  • Researching specific sectors and their use of environmental commodities (e.g., carbon offsets, RECs)
  • Identifying major market participants and potential customers
  • Perform basic sales and market analysis, such as:
  • Reviewing platform activity (bids, offers, transaction volumes)
  • Supporting proposal‑related and historical trading analysis


Learning & Cross‑Functional Exposure

  • Participate in structured learning sessions with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Engage in planned intern program activities and office‑based exposure to the business


Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program
  • Interest in sales operations, sales development, or market research
  • Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, documents, and internal systems


Compensation:

The anticipated hourly pay range for this internship is $20-$25 per hour for undergraduate students and $30-$35 per hour for graduate‑level students, based on a good‑faith estimate. Actual pay within these ranges may vary based on academic level, skills, and relevant experience, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
