This role is critical to protecting plant operations from supplier-related disruptions and ensuring production continuity in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.

An overview of your responsibilities!

  • Monitor Supplier Performance: Track daily supplier quality metrics (PPM, line disruptions, repeat defects), maintain dashboards, and escalate high-risk trends to protect production continuity.
  • Containment & Line Protection: Drive immediate containment for supplier non-conformances, coordinating sorting, rework, controlled shipping, and material segregation to prevent line stoppage.
  • Corrective Action Management: Issue and manage NCRs, lead structured root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why), and validate effectiveness of corrective actions before closure.
  • Risk Mitigation & Escalation: Proactively identify supplier risks and implement mitigation plans; escalate chronic or high-impact issues through defined governance channels.
  • Cross-Functional Plant Support: Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sourcing during supplier disruptions; support launches and engineering changes from a plant risk perspective.
  • Supplier Compliance: Maintain supplier quality documentation and ensure compliance with ISO, UL, regulatory, and plant-specific requirements.

What you'll need, among other things!

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality within a production environment.
  • Strong expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, root cause analysis).
  • Demonstrated experience managing containment activities and mitigating line-stoppage risk.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-urgency, fast-paced manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency with core quality tools including SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, and corrective action systems.
