Position Overview
The HSE Field Service Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental excellence during field service operations at XNRGY. Reporting to the QHSE HSE Director and working closely with all Service roles, this role focuses on planning, implementing, and overseeing HSE programs that support commissioning, repairs, and maintenance activities across the United States. It combines strategic program development with hands-on field leadership to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Execution
- Develop and lead structured HSE project plans for three critical service activities:
- Rework of incomplete units from the factory
- Start-up and commissioning support
- After-sales repairs under warranty or customer request
- Apply project management methodologies (PMI, Lean, or Agile) to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate resources, and manage timelines to align with operational and safety objectives.
- Monitor progress through KPIs and dashboards, proactively addressing risks and adapting plans as needed
Safety Leadership:
- Champion a proactive safety culture where HSE considerations are integrated into all service activities and decision-making.
- Act as a visible leader during field operations, reinforcing compliance and safe work practices.
System & Program Development - Business Management system (QHSE):
- Improve and maintain HSE systems, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, state/local).
- Integrate HSE requirements into service workflows and project planning to minimize risk.
- Design and deliver HSE training programs for field service teams to ensure competency and compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety audits for field projects; lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Track and analyze HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with all XNRGY functions to embed HSE principles into operational processes and commissioning plans.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives within field operations, including waste reduction and energy efficiency practices.
First 12 Months
- Establish a structured HSE program tailored to field service operations.
- Develop and roll out a comprehensive HSE training curriculum for service teams.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a hands-on HSE professional with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of balancing strategic program development with field execution. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, is comfortable traveling extensively, and has a passion for building a culture of safety and compliance.
This individual must be able to influence and engage a diverse workforce, communicate effectively at all organizational levels, and confidently speak in public to large and varied audiences. Strong interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to simplify complex safety concepts and drive adoption, are essential for success in this role.
Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in manufacturing, HVAC, or similar industrial environments
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards, particularly CFR 1926, 1910, and CFR 40.
- Program Development: Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE programs.
- Certification: CSP, GSP, ASP, ISO 45001/14001/9001 are an asset.
- Travel: Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. (up to 50–80%).
