Senior Consultant Electronics Life Cycle Assessment

Join WSP as a senior consultant in the U.S., leading LCA projects for the electronics and technology business sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client-facing teams in the design, management, and reporting of product and organization sustainability programs focused on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
  • Lead delivery of electronics LCA projects from start to finish, including research and collection of lifecycle inventory data, data quality assurance, and development of new datasets.
  • Perform modeling in LCA software such as LCA For Experts, SimaPro, GREET, and openLCA.
  • Develop product lifecycle assessments (GHG emissions, energy use, water use, consumption, scarcity, waste, etc.) and produce screeninglevel and ISOconformant reports.
  • Produce Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), ecopassports/profiles, and LCA background reports per product category rules and EU PEF methodology.
  • Research opportunities to reduce environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Produce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications.
  • Develop and maintain data management systems and businessintelligence tools.
  • Support businessdevelopment activities with prospective and existing clients.
  • Exercise responsible decisionmaking regarding company resources and conduct.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in the electronics and technology business sectors.
  • Experience developing ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 compliant LCA reports.
  • Familiarity with product design, manufacturing, supply chain management, circular economy principles and wastereduction methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, credibility, confidence, and integrity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms.
  • Proven record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
  • Experience with LCA software such as LCA For Experts, SimaPro, openLCA, GREET.
  • Experience with ISO standards relevant to LCA (14040, 14044, 14025, 14046, 14064, 14067).
  • Experience in sector areas beyond electronics (food & beverage, agriculture, apparel/textiles, construction).
  • Experience with EPDs and PEF methodology.
  • Knowledge of emerging circularity standards and their application to LCA.
  • Knowledge of water footprinting, water stress and scarcity methods such as AWARE.

Compensation

Expected salary (all locations): $74,200 $150,590. (Colorado only: $74,200 $141,350)
