The Opportunity

Liberty Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take the lead on risk, opportunity, and commercial performance across a diverse portfolio of social housing, construction, and decarbonisation projects.

This is a high‑impact, senior role offering autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to shape commercial outcomes across long‑term maintenance contracts and exciting one‑off construction schemes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving commercial entitlement through robust contract management
  • Leading risk & opportunity management across live contracts
  • Supporting and guiding commercial and QS teams
  • Managing change, performance, and dispute avoidance
  • Acting as a client-facing commercial lead, negotiating best outcomes
  • Deputising for the Commercial Director – Operations when required

Projects span repairs & maintenance, heating & compliance, gas, EICR, and decarbonisation/renewables.

Location & Working Pattern

  • ? Hybrid – typically 2 days per week, occasionally 3
  • ? Travel across the South, Key locations include Oxfordshire, Kent, Cambridge & Swindon
  • ? Southern Home Counties focus
  • ⏱️ Manage your own time

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Strong background in social housing, property services or construction
  • Sound knowledge of NEC, JCT, NHF or similar contracts
  • Confident communicator, negotiator, and commercial leader

RICS And Renewables Experience Are Desirable But Not Essential.
