To do this it is vital that the food industry faces these sustainability challenges. This is where your skills are needed as an expert in sustainable diets. We want you to join us as Sustainable Diets Manager to drive a key pillar of our work through our ground-breaking partnership with Tesco and lead engagement with the food industry on sustainable diets.
As Sustainable Diets Manager you will work with our partner to deliver sustainable, healthy and affordable food for all. Collaborating with counterparts at Tesco you will help establish protein diversification as an important cornerstone in the business and promote the consumption of healthy, nutrient-dense foods with lower environmental impact. This will include commissioning and managing bespoke projects with consultants and academia to advance both the scientific underpinning of the programme as well as practical interventions to support delivery. You will also pioneer industry measures and partnership tools to demonstrate progress, credibility and impact on sustainable diets leading engagement with the food industry on this topic. You will provide technical advice and recommendations as well as manage the budget associated with this pillar of work. Your remit will cover driving broad industry engagement and accelerating progress across the industry with food businesses on healthy, sustainable diets.
For this high-profile role, you must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of sustainable diets. This will be complemented by experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders in major food businesses on their sustainability agenda. Capable of analysing scientific evidence and data you will be comfortable synthesising complex information and translating it into impactful and easily understood advice and communications.
A good project manager, you will possess excellent networking, communication and presentation skills. Effective at building relationships, you will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. Of course, you will have an interest in conservation and environmental issues too.
If you have the expertise to develop clear and compelling materials and campaigns to mobilise behaviour change in colleagues and customers across the UK, we would love to hear from you.
