About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Public Sector Partnerships Specialist to join our team and help raise our profile as well as secure significant funding through public sector partnerships with the UK Government.
As Public Sector Partnerships Specialist, you will develop and implement a new strategy for raising our profile and securing significant funds through public sector partnerships, primarily with UK Government and other multi-lateral funders as appropriate. This will involve collaborating with colleagues to identify public sectors donors, map funds and advise on access points into Government and other public institutions. You will also support the drafting of proposals and be responsible for the submission of high quality applications.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Understanding of the government in the UK & key funding mechanisms.
- Experience in the conservation, development or research fields.
- Experience or understanding of the NGO or environmental sector.
- Experience of fundraising, or the ability to quickly learn the key aspects of the role.
- Experience of defining & managing processes, including project management.
- Strong communication, relationship building & interpersonal skills.

The salary for this role is £36,486. We also offer a full benefits and rewards package including:

This role is hybrid and you’ll be required to be in the office for some of your contracted hours. The job is based at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey. The Living Planet Centre is one of the greenest buildings in the UK, and you’ll hot desk among trees and gardens.
