Project Manager (Quadrature) Fixed term to July 2023

Job description
If you are an experienced project manager with a recognised qualification, this is a tremendous opportunity to help save our world. At WWF UK we have launched an ambitious new 3-year strategy to solve the triple challenge of climate change, food systems and thriving habitats and species. To deliver against this strategy we have created a new Directorate which will use strategic delivery, marketing, and behaviour science to elevate our campaigns and increase our ability to influence target audiences.

We are now looking to increase our project planning and management capacity within the new team, and this is where your skills as a Project Manager can make a real difference. As Project Manager you will be an important part of a ‘hub’ of project planning and management skills in the Campaigns and Engagement Department. You will manage different types of projects depending on needs and priorities, but will have a particular focus on a major broadcast and public engagement project that will launch in the UK in 2023.

Day-to-day, you will work with stakeholders to determine project objectives and scope, identifying the best way to deliver them and the resources needed. You will create workable project plans that include milestones and key deliverables, oversee stakeholder communication and assist in resolving risks and issues. We will look to you to drive projects forward through effective leadership and strong advocacy of the project’s vision. Important will be the ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge and pioneer a project management methodology that reflects best practice. This is an exciting role for anyone who wants to develop a broad base of experience, develop new skills and enjoys tackling new challenges.

For this role, you must have experience of working on and managing a range of projects, which will have given you a good understanding of project methodology and practices. Ideally, you will possess a recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM PMQ. Comfortable managing complex projects, you will possess excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills. Able to work on your own initiative, you will be comfortable partnering and supporting a number of individuals within a matrix management structure. Of course, you will have an interest in conservation and environmental issues too.

If you are excited by the opportunity of making our world a better place through your work, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV with the Supporting Statement highlighting what makes you a good fit for us.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you. Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose. We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We are looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
