Job description
This is a UK based contract and as such, you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Evidence of your Right to Work will be checked prior to interview.

Today our planet is under threat like never before. But there is hope. At WWF we know the solutions already exist to turn things around for future generations. But we must act now, and we need your help to help save our world. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the planet as a Procurement Business Partner.

Join us as Procurement Business Partner and you will be a member of a committed team responsible for leading the procurement process for larger and more strategic contracts as well as for supporting the organisation in ensuring that value for money is being achieved from all spend on suppliers.

As Procurement Business Partner, you will help our Head of Procurement in the development of our procurement function. This will include supporting the implementation of improvements identified by an independent review and internal and external audits. This will involve helping ensure we have a well-defined, quality procurement strategy as well as quality procurement policies, procedures and systems in place. You will also help drive improvements in procurement practice and ensure that our procurement and contract management is proactive and can be demonstrated to be best in class. You will help develop the skills of colleagues involved in procurement decision making to build their capacity to effectively manage supplier relationships and contracts too. Furthermore, as a business partner you will work closely with colleagues in various departments to assist with procurement issues across a number of categories, including media/social media, creative agencies, ICT services and professional services.

For this critical role, you must have significant experience of procurement and a track record of delivering significant improvements in the procurement function while achieving substantial cost savings and demonstrating that value for money is being achieved. You will be used to purchasing a range of products and services including marketing/advertising, creative and IT/Digital. Familiar with electronic procurement systems, you will be used to reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts. Ideally, you will also hold CIPS membership too. In addition to your technical expertise, you will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and be an effective business partner.

If you are enthusiastic about improving outcomes through procurement and want to make our world a better place through your work, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link. Complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV and Supporting Statement to highlight what makes you a good fit for us.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you. Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose. We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We are looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
