Mission of the Department

The Asia Pacific 25 team (AP25) have the collective purpose to : engage billions of people and raise millions of dollars in our region, to enable the conservation Decade of Action . The AP25 is governed by the Shareholder Executive Team (SET) and delivered by the AP25 Team. The AP25 serves as a platform to bring together WWF offices in Asia Pacific to significantly grow funding from within the region for conservation impact. The AP25 has three main functions/areas of work: investment in growth/capacity building projects in WWF-AP offices, provision of coordination support for multi-office initiatives and provision of advisory/capacity building support for fundraising teams.


Purpose of the Position


Anchored the AP25 strategy of delivering 4 critical ‘Big Wins' for our region, the purpose of the Regional Head of Corporate Engagement, AP25 is to progress our third Big Win: to increase AP growth via income, influence and through strategic partnerships with corporates. The position enables WWF in Asia Pacific to build engagement with businesses to deliver on it's mission .The position acts as a central convener of the AP Corporate Engagement community identifying where and how the region is best positioned to progress strategically relevant corporate engagement programmes of work in line with primarily (but not limited to) Game Changers and Accelerator Strategies. The position is to provide corporate strategic resource to the AP25, with the aim of working with the Network to grow the scale and value of corporate engagements in the region, unlocking operational roadblocks, and progressing the scale and impact of partnerships cross high impact/transformation first industries in the region. This is a highly collaborative and strategically focused role, working across a multitude of offices, practices and across varying levels of seniority across the network, with strong interface with WWF International and Network Practices.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Community building

  • Further build the corporate engagement and impact partnerships community in the Asia Pacific Region to progress strategic programmes of work (e.g. Game Changers, Accelerators)
  • Ensure the AP corporate and impact partnerships community are set to best leverage network-wide resource to best progress national and regional scale partnerships
  • Collaborate with WWF-International to co-deliver corporate engagement building conferences, workshops, skill sharing sessions across the region


Development and delivery of strategy

  • Progress and refresh AP Game Changers and AP Accelerators prioritization strategies and associated work plans
  • Oversee the progress of, and coordinate opportunities to enable to delivery of the Game Changers and Accelerators working with WWF International, Practices, and markets to ensure continued progress, and assisting where there are roadblocks
  • Encourage cases for support to be developed for investment from AP25 in line with Game Changers and Accelerators strategies
  • Support in the delivery of corporate engagement related cases for support
  • Identify training and capacity building needed across the region to build understanding of corporate engagement, Game Changers and Accelerators
  • Be the region's interface with regional fundraising, conservation and ZeroX campaigns, with the offices' corporate teams
  • Collaborate with AP25 team members to co-deliver AP25 strategic programmes of work (fundraising, major gifts, ZeroX, communications)
  • With reference to the Network Corporate Engagement Strategy, with WWF International, progress the position of all AP offices on the Triple S curve, and identify how to most effectively move each office along the trajectory
  • Develop and progress annual workplans for the Regional Corporate Engagement function
  • Support to build and measure income growth across priority markets
  • Be the interface with Major Gifts and Soft Power programmes of work


Progress monitoring and reporting

  • Develop monitoring and reporting approaches articulating regional corporate engagement progress to relevant stakeholder groups (SET, GPC, AP25 Director and CEOs)

Internal Working Relationships

The position communicates and collaborates regularly with:

  • Director, AP25 and Head of Strategy Communications, AP25 on the implementation of the AP25 Strategy
  • Head of Operation, Ap25 on the delivery of the workshops and on project reporting
  • Head of Fundraising, Advisor- Major Gifts and ZeroX Lead, AP25 on the development and delivery of regional collaboration opportunities
  • Close contact with the Core Team members on the delivery of the AP25 Strategy

External Working Relationships

  • Occasionally with SET on corporate projects requirements and progress of the AP25
  • Regularly with representatives from WWF International, with reference to the AP25
  • WWF-CH Account Director of Corporate Relations to address roadblocks, identify opportunities and seek guidance on areas of strategic importance to the AP Corporate Community
  • Corporate teams in the region and the Corporate Engagement team at WWF International in the delivery and support of growth in the region
  • Practice Leads to link the AP Corporate Engagement deliverable to network-wide direction
  • Regularly with Corporate Engagement Directors from around the WWF Network Heads of Corporate Engagement (and their teams) across the region and Network
  • Occasionally with Chief Executive Officers and SLT across the region and wider WWF Network
  • On a project-by-project basis, work with consultants/external marketing experts appointed by AP25 to deliver elements of the strategy.
  • Occasionally with companies who partner with, or wish to partner with WWF across Asia Pacific

Your Key Skills and Experience

You will have:

  • A relevant tertiary level qualification;
  • Expert-level knowledge of the WWF Network and Strategic priorities across various practices and internal networks;
  • Experience of working in at least 2 Asia Pacific markets
