WWF-Philippines is looking for a service provider or organization to provide web design and development services for the WWF-Philippines website.


BACKGROUND

WWF-Philippines has been working as a national organization of the WWF network since 1997. As the 26th national organization in the network, WWF-Philippines has successfully been implementing various conservation projects to help protect some of the most biologically-significant ecosystems in Asia.

WWF-Philippines works to improve Filipino lives by crafting solutions to climate change, providing sustainable livelihood programs, and conserving the country's richest marine and land habitats.


OBJECTIVES

The web redesign aims to enhance the existing WWF-Philippines website to capture and highlight all the work that the organization has done and is continually doing. Now on its 25th year, WWF-Philippines aims to utilize platforms like the website to reach more audiences and engage more people to take part in its advocacy of biodiversity conservation and sustainability.

The update aims to reflect the strategic direction of the organization which is embedded in its four pillars of Habitat, Energy Transition, Sustainable Production, and Sustainable Consumption.

In addition, the upgraded website will also provide a platform for ongoing fundraising and resource generation efforts of the organization which allows for better user experience and journey.


DELIVERABLES

GENERAL

    • Improved visuals design that aligns to the WWF Branding
    • Enhanced functionality that provide better user experience
    • Accessibility and ease of use in terms of editing content
    • Analytics and Tag Manager
    • Provide user manual and training for support staff and system administrators
    • Content migration to new platform
    • Administrative and technical support for initial 6 months
    • Turnover of source code and developed libraries

ONLINE FUNDRAISING PLATFORM

  • Design an online donation structure using an e- commerce platform (Woo Commerce), and seamlessly integrate it with the existing website structure; and ensure its efficient performance and compatibility with web browsers, search engines, and other devices such as mobile phones or tablets
    • General Donations - Link - A landing page with the following functions:
      • Donation form with monthly and one time donation options
      • Check out page integrated with WWF current payment gateways with gifting option at checkout
      • Function to check out multiple donation options (Monthly and one time)
      • Can redirect user to success/unsuccessful page
      • Automated email response for successful, failed, pending donation
    • Adopt A Species - Link - A landing page with the following functions:
      • Donation form with monthly and one time donation options
      • Check out page integrated with WWF current payment gateways with gifting option at checkout
      • Function to check out multiple donation options (Monthly and one time)
      • Can redirect user to success/unsuccessful page
      • Automated email response for successful, failed, pending donation
      • Inventory and order management for donor tokens
    • Send A Wildcards - Link - A landing page with the following functions:
      • Donation form with one time donation option only
      • Check out page integrated with WWF current payment gateways with gifting option at checkout
      • Function to check out multiple donation options (different wildcards)
      • Function to send customized Wildcard to nominated name and email address by the user
      • Can redirect user to success/unsuccessful page
      • Automated email response for successful, failed, pending donation
    • Fundraise For WWF - Link - Duplicate page with backend function to edit content
    • Existing and future campaigns - backend function to create/duplicate pages and edit content
  • Move/transfer current monthly donors into the new Woo Commerce website and database
  • Develop new pages with relevant content and high-quality images, update existing ones, and add them to the website catalog
  • Identify and implement the necessary improvements to increase conversion rates of website visitors to donors
  • Integrate the e-commerce platform to the Oracle CRM of WWF
  • Maintain the security of donation platform through virus scans and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers
  • Ensure accessibility and ease of use in terms of editing content
  • Set up Google Analytics (GA4) and Tag Manager to the website
  • Provide user manual and training for support staff and system administrators
  • Administrative and technical support for initial 6 months
  • Turnover of source code and developed libraries

WWF-Philippines will grant access to the current WWF-Philippines website code and content including WordPress administration console, all documents and pages, plugins, themes and additional files.


WORK PLAN

VISUALS/ DESIGN

  • Improve usability and easy navigation of the website by adding back-to-top anchors, fixed navigation bar, strategic placements of buttons and options
  • Incorporate the four pillars of WWF-Philippines in the overall visual design
  • Design aligned to the look and branding of the websites of other WWF national offices
  • Customize the E-commerce template/s according to WWF Brand Guidelines and other WWF national offices (Australia, Malaysia, and USA)

FUNCTIONALITIES

  • Improve the speed of load rate of the pages
  • Enable tracking on each page which is linked to Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Enable automatic tagging options for easier sorting on relevant and related pages within the site
  • Enable the use of meta pixels
  • Improve performance and functionality when accessed through mobile devices
  • Back end customization for all landing pages
  • Integration to payment gateway
  • Improve performance and functionality when accessed through mobile devices
  • Set up transactional Emails
  • Enhance functionality that provide better user experience and user interface
  • Enable collection of first party data specifically from donors
  • Integrate newsletter subscriptions

CONTENT MAPPING

  • Create different user journeys for intended audiences, specifically donors, stakeholders, etc.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

  • Provide back-end access which is easy to use for editing, uploading and creating web pages with no HTML code knowledge required
  • Build a more efficient system of storing, accessing, and displaying publications, case studies, articles, project information, organization information, etc.
  • Provide the possibility to add new donation product
  • Possibility to edit static pages

SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE

  • Provide and organized catalogue system of all materials uploaded
  • Set up a security system for the website and ensure that all data collected are secured

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Reputable firm with proven experience and strong knowledge and expertise in designing visually appealing, user-friendly, and innovative websites. Experience with advocacy, non-profit, and similar organizations is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in using different Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly WordPress;
  • Broad knowledge of current web development technologies and design tools in the field, and new software and other web programming languages and programs use of HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Java;
  • Excellent knowledge of recent trends in graphic design
  • Allocate QA testers and QA process for testing.
  • Dedicated staff or team member to facilitate content migration to new platform
