External: Corporate Partners, Third Party Service Providers, Strategic Partners (corporate or non profit), Suppliers


JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Resource Generation and Partnerships, the Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for formulating and implementing high-impact strategies to help drive efforts to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives of ‘diverse and sustained income growth that enables scale and flexibility’ by partnering with companies and businesses to help them understand and incorporate environmental sustainability in their business approach while strategically raising funds for WWF Philippines’ conservation programs. He/She is responsible for leading the corporate partnership's unit in its goals of (1) engaging businesses towards making an impact in priority themes of sustainable consumption, production, energy transition, and habitats, (2) achieving income/funding targets (3) enabling greater business engagement and communication.


MAJOR FUNCTIONS

  • Formulate and implement high-impact strategies and tactics to acquire new corporate partners, maintain existing partnerships, and provide high-level representation/liaison with corporates
  • Deliver income targets and expenditure budgets. and be responsible for monitoring progress and setting the budget of the Corporate Partnerships Team on an annual basis
  • Understand and identify areas WWF and corporations can form strategic and/or project-based partnerships using drivers of corporate performance and creating synergies for the mutual benefit of both organizations
  • Oversee the conduct of activities of the Corporate Partnerships Team in acquiring new partners and managing the existing roster of corporate partners
  • Provide guidance and support to the team in conceptualizing and drafting high-level project proposals, delivering pitch presentations, and conducting negotiations to secure new corporate partners
  • Deliver effective management ensuring excellent communication and service delivery to meet KPIs and deliver ROI
  • Ensure timely updating of Corporate Partnerships database for existing and target partners
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Conservation Program Team and other relevant units in identifying project partnership opportunities and developing proposals
  • Participate in major fundraising events/campaigns and at times lead and coordinate those activities
  • Plan and synergize efforts with the IDP team for any individual donor fundraising opportunities with corporations to help grow WWF membership
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Integrated Communications Manager in looking for opportunities to highlight and communicate initiatives surrounding the different corporate partnerships as well as brand and innovative marketing partnerships and other media-based tie-ups
  • Manage and adhere to WWF brand position, mission, and standards at all contact points with corporations
  • Perform other relevant and related tasks not specifically mentioned in the foregoing

KEY OUTPUTS/DELIVERABLES:

  • Set and deliver annual financial targets for the Corporate Partnerships Team
  • Identify potential (and compatible) corporate and foundation sponsors for cash and in-kind support for the organization as a whole when required
  • Keep abreast with the progress of projects and update particular donors on the projects funded by them

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • KNOWLEDGE:
    • Graduate preferably with a degree in Marketing, Business Management, Social Science or other related subjects
    • A comprehensive understanding of corporate practices and multinational business environments
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum working experience of five (5) years in a supervisory/ management role in the corporate sector or an NGO
    • Track record of success in delivering a minimum of PhP 50M annual revenue target per year
  • SKILLS:
    • Capacity to conceptualize and implement business development ideas with a strong sense of project ownership and attention to detail
    • High-level proficiency in developing/presenting business cases to C-level executives
    • Ability to understand internal business processes of all sectors and explain them in a succinct and simple, not simplistic, manner
    • Excellent organizational skills, responsiveness and an aptitude for precision
    • Excellent and persuasive communication skill
    • Must have people skills and be able to work as a team
    • Must be computer literate
