BACKGROUND

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is implementing the No Plastics in Nature initiative - a global movement with stakeholders to stop plastic pollution by 2030. Under this initiative, WWF has been working with local government units (LGUs) through the Plastic Smart Cities (PSC) movement in updating and implementing their 10-year Solid Waste Management (SWM) plan with the goal of eliminating plastic waste leakage by 2030.
