Today WWF-Belgium is looking for a Copywriting & Publishing Officer with Dutch, on a permanent contract. The Copywriting and Publishing Officer with Dutch will research, write and publish content on WWF’s different channels in order to inform and engage our different audiences. The Copywriting and Publishing Officer works in close collaboration with the FR speaking Copywriter& Publishing Officer, the Fundraising department, the Digital Hub and the Advocacy Communications hub.
You deliver end-to-end production of print publications (mainly the quarterly WWF Magazine and the annual report, but also brochures, reports, infographics etc). This includes preliminary research, pitching ideas, producing written and creative content/stories, selecting images, coordinating the graphic design and the printing process. For delivering the publications you work in close collaboration with the French-speaking Copy & Publishing Officer and with external suppliers.
You occasionally write, edit, translate or proofread different types of long and short copy targeting WWF’s audiences (this may include different types of newsletters, direct mails, letters, website articles, campaign content and other products).
You contribute to WWF’s projects, and you undertake any ad-hoc tasks in line with WWF’s strategy and annual plan.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing preferred, or any suitable experience
You have 3 years of professional experience in an area related to this job
Exceptional writing and editing skills in Dutch (a test will be conducted during the selection process)
Completely fluent in Dutch, you have a good command of French and English
Previous experience producing visual and video content is an advantage.
Proven experience in planning and execution of a communications output from A to Z, including the relationship with external suppliers.
Genuine interest in and commitment to environmental and conservation issues
