P4G – Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 – is a global initiative that brings together business, government, and civil society organizations in innovative public-private partnerships. We focus on breakthrough solutions that help meet humanity’s greatest needs in five key areas: food and agriculture, water, energy, cities, and circular economy. P4G supports innovative partnerships to become global models for sustainable solutions. In addition, through major convening moments such as the P4G Summit as well as our State-of-the-Art report and awards program, we showcase the most innovative partnerships driving sustainable development in the world. This position is fully remote.


What you will do:

In this role you will work primarily with P4G’s Partnerships Team and will also work in coordination with P4G’s Operations, Engagement, Communications, and Investment Teams. As part of this internship, you will gain experience in international sustainable development, investment impact selection, project management, stakeholder outreach, engagement strategy and event planning, and stakeholder management for a high-profile international initiative involving governments, the private sector, and global NGOs. You will play an active role in the implementation of P4G’s partnership acceleration and funding and support the selection process for the next cohort of P4G partnerships.

Internship Learning Outcomes:

You will gain experience in the following areas:

Data management and tracking.

  • Track partnerships’ quarterly progress updates and deliverables, as well as opportunities to accelerate partnerships.
  • Aggregate and assist in analysis of program-wide data using Airtable, Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools.

Project administration.

  • Assist in the administration of the application review process and ongoing partnership support activities.
  • Prepare briefings and materials for stakeholders such as P4G country partners, partner organizations, and Board.

Planning and logistics.

  • Prepare materials for Partnerships Team presentations and meetings.
  • Assist with coordination of partnership participation in the 2021 P4G Summit and other key events.

Partnership selection and project management.

  • Contribute to refining, creating tools and producing templates.
  • Support data analysis, including data transfer and validation within database systems.
  • Develop flow diagrams, workflows, power points, documents as part of the training material, selection, and management process, as required.
  • Support scheduling and note taking at meetings.
  • Collaborate on reports, executive summaries or other documents required to manage partnerships, PM meetings and reporting processes.

Overall support for the mission of the P4G Global Hub.

  • Contribute to cross-cutting projects with other parts of P4G team that increases efficiency and knowledge sharing, including with Partnerships and Communications teams.
  • Participate in conference calls and meetings to expand understanding of P4G partnerships and P4G network.
  • International events, travel, and logistics: Support participation of P4G Network and P4G Hub in international and in-country events.
  • Support participation of P4G network in international events, including correspondence with host, all travel logistics, travel systems, visa applications, etc.
  • Participate actively in external meetings, events, and outreach, coordinate mission trips to partner countries, and provide logistical and administrative support for in-person and virtual meetings and events.

What you will need:

  • Pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Writing, editing, research, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis
  • Commitment to P4G’s mission, values, and approach

Compensation

The pay range for this internship opportunity is $20/ hour for undergrads and $22/ hour for graduates.

Length of Contract:

This is a full-time, 3-month internship with a flexible start and end date.

Location:

  • This is a remote-based internship with the option to work out of the Washington D.C. office once it reopens.
  • WRI will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
