Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport

About your Role:

WRI India is seeking an Intern for the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program to support our work capturing and analyzing data on equitable mobility for women. The effort is instrumental in developing measures to comprehend and address challenges in policies targeting women’s mobility.

How Your day will unfold:

The candidate will undertake and oversee a range of responsibilities as are listed below.
  • Collecting primary and secondary data in the form of surveys, focus group discussions and interviews with government agencies, industry experts and general public.
  • Support with secondary research on transport policies for women, implementation and funding strategies.
  • Compilation and analysis of the collected data.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external communications of the projects.
  • Continuous engagement with all the stakeholders and contributing to the project activities.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts on behalf of program/projects and anchor partner engagement activities.

Qualifications and Requirements we seek:

  • Post-graduation in the field of economics/ public policy/ social sciences/ gender studies.
  • Experience with on-ground survey deployment and data collection is preferred.
  • Good writing and communication skills is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in excel, R or Stata, MS Office is a requirement.
  • Inclined towards sustainability, gender inclusion and mobility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, think creatively, work calmly and enthusiastically under high pressure.

Stipend: 25000 Per Month
Location: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, India
Duration: 3 - 6 months
