Unpaid Digital Marketing Intern
The London Institute of Sustainable Development (LISD) is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence founded under the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) to advance the UN 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, research, training, and consultancy. Role Description
- This internship role is for a Digital Marketing Intern (3-6 months) based in the London Area with a hybrid work model that allows some work from home.
- The intern will support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns that promote LISD’s programs, events, and initiatives aligned with the SDGs.
- Day-to-day tasks include assisting with social media content creation and scheduling, updating web pages, supporting email marketing, and monitoring campaign performance using analytics tools.
- Help maintain LISD’s online presence, conduct basic market and audience research, and collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- This role offers practical experience in digital marketing within a mission-driven, sustainability-focused organization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Digital Marketing, Online Marketing, and Web Analytics to support campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing to create, publish, and optimize content across relevant platforms.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex sustainability topics clearly and engagingly.
- Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, basic video editing) and website or CMS platforms is beneficial.
- Interest in sustainable development, the UN SDGs, and higher education is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, manage time effectively, and learn new digital tools quickly.
- Current enrolment in or recent completion of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Sustainability, or a related field is an advantage.
- Video editing experience is a plus.
- Arabic language is plus.
