SUMMARY: Woodwell Climate Research Center (Woodwell) is the leading independent climate research institute, with a mission to advance science-based climate policies through scientific research and outreach. The Temporary Field Assistant will participate in collecting water quality samples from several Cape Cod rivers. They will work as part of a team consisting of a scientist and research assistants.
- Periodic water quality sampling of several Cape Cod rivers.
- Assist with preparation of sampling equipment supplies.
- Assist with sample processing in Woodwell's Environmental Chemistry Laboratory.
- Assist with data entry into water quality database.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Must have attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with other team members.
- Desire to gain experience in scientific research.
- High School degree, College degree preferred.
- Previous laboratory experience desired but not required.
- Demonstrated skills in using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.

Classification and Compensation: This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position for approximately 8 hours per week. The hourly rate is $25 per hour dependent on qualifications/experience. Woodwell offers a generous benefits package and work life balance.
