THE ROLE
The Site Manager will represent the Woodland Trust locally, managing Langley Vale Wood near Epsom in Surrey in line with the Trusts standards and ensuring the safety of our visitors, contractors and volunteers. Langley Vale Wood is our largest First World War Centenary Site; a woodland creation site, with open spaces, arable fields and margins and a newly built car park.

You will lead creative woodland management, people engagement and restoration projects, advocating our work, engaging supporters and influencing others to act.

THE CANDIDATE
With previous experience in land-based management in the forestry or conservation sector, you’ll have a strong track record of project, budget and contract management, successful partnership working and Health and Safety management.

You will have excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships. A full driving licence is a must have, and you’ll be expected to live within a reasonable travel distance of the area.
