The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Development Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Glen Torridon Partnership project - an ambitious habitat restoration project, working with landowners and communities to create a thriving landscape for people and wildlife.

The Role:
  • This role is key to helping us deliver a large landscape-scale habitat restoration project across 30,000 ha in Glen Torridon.
  • You'll lead the development and delivery of the Glen Torridon Partnership project, working closely with landowners, communities, and environmental organisations to restore native habitats and inspire long-term change.
  • You’ll line manage and oversee employees, contractors and consultants to deliver project work.
  • This role requires relationship development with communities, volunteers, partners as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • This is a home-based role with regular travel to Glen Torridon and occasional visits to other Woodland Trust sites in Scotland.

We are looking for candidates who have the following:
  • Experience line managing employees and working with communities, volunteers, and a wide range of stakeholders to build strong, lasting relationships.
  • Managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, including the development, planning and delivery and managing budgets.
  • Experience and confidence in influencing and communicating with a range of different audiences.
  • Understanding of land management principles for environmental and/or social benefits
  • This role requires regular travel across Scotland, you need to have a full, clean UK driving licence.
