As our Head of Tree Supply, you will lead on all aspects of end-to-end tree supply; from ensuring seed is sourced appropriately, to delivery across all our work, including those associated with agroforestry systems. You will build relationships with the nursery sector; from large scale producers supplying high volumes of trees for forestry projects, to smaller nurseries producing specialist stock.
You’ll lead within the organisation on the entire trees supply process from assessing and forecasting demand, contributing to strategic decision making, operational management and distribution, and reporting to Directors and Trustees.
You’ll be a skilled relationship builder, networker, and leader, with the ability to represent the Woodland Trust at a senior level both internally and externally within the sector.
With outstanding supply chain and stock management skills, you’ll have a strong understanding of supply chain management, a strong commercial awareness, good project and programme management skills.
You’ll ideally have a track record of experience in the nursery/horticultural/forestry sector, with an excellent understanding of the UK forest and horticultural nursery and seed supply sectors.
