THE ROLE
This Communications role, known internally as Supporter Retention and Engagement Manager, is responsible for owning, planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating effective supporter journeys for key audiences to help grow supporter retention and income for the Trust.
One of the key elements of this role is understanding our supporters and what they want from us in order to be able to work with other stakeholders to best tailor our communications to increase and retain our supporter base.
The communications manager will play a large role in helping to support the introduction of a new supporter management system, and as such will need to adapt within the role to changing ways of working.
To ensure our supporter journey is the best it can be the Supporter Retention and Engagement Manager will be required to help implement improvements in consent marketing and deliver a test and learn programme around supporter retention and income growth from our audience, mostly through online communications.
There is line management of one Marketing Communications Executive involved in this position.

This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Head Office based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.

THE CANDIDATE
You’ll be an articulate and persuasive communicator who possesses the ability to ask questions that lead to real insights and be able to turn insight into actions. You’ll be able to work with others to deliver communication planning and flawless delivery, across departments, in a timely and effective way being accountable for the results.
You will ideally have experience of delivering supporter journeys to grow support and income including direct, digital, social and experiential alongside a good understanding of the principles underlying Charity Commission regulations, GDPR, other applicable legislation and best practice.
