Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic ESG Consultant, to join our team in New Delhi. We are seeking consultants with expertise on ESG Reporting framework, GHG accounting, Decarbonisation strategies and Net Zero Roadmap and understanding of Value chain assessments for industry sectors from a GHG accounting perspective. As an ESG Consultant at WOCE, you will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainability initiatives for our clients. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute ESG reporting and disclosure projects aligned with global frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), International Sustainability Standards Board (IFRS S1/S2), and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).


  • Conduct comprehensive GHG accounting in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, and develop emission inventories for organizations across sectors.


  • Perform value chain (Scope 3) assessments, including supplier engagement, category-wise emissions estimation, and data quality improvement strategies.


  • Develop science-aligned decarbonization strategies and Net Zero roadmaps aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and sector-specific pathways.


  • Support clients in regulatory compliance and disclosures such as India’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR), EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and carbon border mechanisms like Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).


  • Design ESG data management systems, including defining KPIs, data collection templates, validation protocols, and audit-ready documentation.


  • Conduct ESG materiality assessments (double materiality where applicable), stakeholder mapping, and risk/opportunity analysis.


  • Perform climate risk and scenario analysis aligned with TCFD recommendations, including transition and physical risk assessment.


  • Advise clients on ESG ratings and benchmarking improvement strategies (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, CDP scores).


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG into enterprise strategy, operations, and supply chains.


  • Develop sector-specific sustainability strategies (manufacturing, energy, FMCG, etc.) with measurable KPIs and implementation roadmaps.


  • Support carbon markets and offset strategies, including evaluation of carbon credit projects and alignment with global standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard).


  • Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations, taxonomies, and disclosure requirements across geographies.


  • Contribute to thought leadership, whitepapers, and client-facing insights on ESG trends, climate policy, and sustainability innovation.


Qualifications:

  • MBA or post-graduation in a related field with a focus on sustainability.
  • Expertise in ESG reporting frameworks, GHG accounting, and sustainability assessments.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainability projects.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialization or additional certifications in sustainability-related disciplines.
  • Two years of experience in ESG consulting or related fields.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and regulations.
  • Experience working on sustainability projects in diverse industry sectors.
