Position Summary

 

 

As a Residential Solar Installation Technician, you’ll be part of a crew responsible for the safe, high-quality installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on homes. You’ll work on rooftops, connect system components, and ensure every installation meets company standards and local electrical codes.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Assemble and install residential solar PV systems according to design plans and safety standards
  • Mount racking, modules, and other system components on rooftops or ground mounts
  • Run electrical wiring and assist with conduit bending, wire management, and component connections
  • Maintain safe work practices and uphold OSHA standards at all times
  • Work collaboratively with crew leads, electricians, and project managers
  • Perform basic system testing and troubleshooting during installation
  • Load/unload materials and maintain a clean, organized job site
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and inspectors

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Preferred Experience: 1+ year of solar, roofing, or electrical experience (will train the right candidate)
  • Hand/Power Tools and other tools of the trade 
  • Comfortable working on roofs and in outdoor environments year-round
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety protocols

 

 

 

 

Preferred (Not Required)

 

 

  • NABCEP, OSHA 10/30, or other solar certifications
  • Experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, or other common inverter systems
  • Electrical or roofing background
