We are looking for a Senior Staff System Test Engineer to join our team. The goal of a Senior Staff System Test Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that R&D projects reach their goals and set us up for future success . You will be part of the Advanced Research and Development team that focuses on the following key areas: flight test of autonomy technologies, new propulsion systems, advanced concepts.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.

With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Senior Staff System Test Engineer to join our Advanced Research and Development team. The goal of the Senior Staff System Test Engineer at Wisk is to create project plans with team leaders: including objectives, results, impact, resources, and schedules. Aid in the execution of those projects: write code, turn wrenches, build harnesses, analyze data, fix stuff, and document results. Coordinate efforts with functional and project team leads. Communicate progress, opportunities, blockers, and status to the R&D Sr. Manager, CTO, and other leaders as required. Encourage the team to work across boundaries, and get things done.
We are looking for team members who can drive the appropriate amount of process and rigor to learn quickly, and capture the results to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment.
The successful candidate is highly knowledgeable and an experienced technical leader who has direct hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical integration and testing for experimental aircraft, with the technical breadth necessary to interface with engineering functions such as Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Test, and Certification. In this role, the candidate must be self-motivated with a strong bias for action, compassion, inclusivity, and excellent problem solving skills across multidisciplinary skill sets. You're a "hands-on" leader. You get things done. You drive alignment, clarity, focus and accountability, and marshal people and resources to accomplish the goal. What you will do:
Be part of the Advanced Research and Development organization, you will act as a Senior Staff System Test Engineer to develop a novel type of aircraft targeting the autonomous UAM market
Take part in completion of R&D goals set by the CTO and Wisk.
Support mechanical/electrical integration and testing of hardware to research their applicability to support the aircraft's Concept of Operations
Plan and support execution of ground and flight test activities for R&D on avionics hardware, propulsion and actuations systems
Post process data, debugging issues and writing reports to document findings.
Work closely with Integrated Product Team leadership to develop test requirements and test plans
Working closely with A&P mechanics, R&D engineers, Software Engineers, Flight Test Engineers, and Test Pilots
Create Mechanical Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) solid model and wiring diagrams.
What you have done:
Earned a B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering with at least 12 years experience in the integration, evaluation, and testing of aircraft or large integrated systems such as integrated avionics systems, electrical systems, battery management systems, propulsion systems or fly-by-wire systems.
Leading the testing of aerospace and/or aviation systems and subsystems
Have had hands-on experience fabricating, integrating, and testing mechanical/electrical/electro-mechanical systems or hardware.
Have a strong and applied knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical systems
Have a well rounded and applied understanding of mechanical design, the scientific method, electrical troubleshooting, digital signal processing, data acquisition, instrumentation, wiring, and harnessing
Lead teams whom achieved successful test campaigns from planning through execution and reporting
Desired:
You are familiar with NX,Teamcenter, Python, Matlab, JIRA, G Suite, ARINC/ Ethernet/Serial communication protocol, Data acquisition systems such as Siemens Testlab and National Instruments

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $190,145 - $223,700 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
