We are looking for a System Integration Engineer to join our team. The goal of an System Integration Engineer at Wisk is responsible for overall HV battery system and charging system integration to the aircraft system . You will be part of the ESPS Energy Storage & Power System team that play a key role in the design, development, integration, testing, and maintaining advanced high voltage energy storage and power conversion solution.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
What you will do:
Lead the integration of the Energy Storage and Power Systems into the overall electrical propulsion system and aircraft
Manage the interfaces between the battery system and other subsystems, including the powertrain, charging system, thermal management system, and battery management system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine battery system requirements, operational constraints, operation
Work closely with different stakeholders to understand battery operating conditions, limitations, and BMS requirements for control and estimation
Perform system-level analysis and simulations to predict and optimize battery system performance, efficiency, and durability under various operating conditions.
Design and execute integration tests at component, subsystem, and system levels to validate functionality, performance, and safety requirements.
Identify, analyze, and resolve integration issues and anomalies through root cause analysis and implementation of effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BMS and high-voltage systems into vehicle platforms
Troubleshoot high-voltage battery systems including battery, DC/DC, charging using lab and measurement equipment, such as power suppliers, oscilloscopes, Vector CANoe, or CANalyzer and provide technical feedback
Requirements:
At least 12 years of hands-on experience developing and integrating the HV battery system to vehicle platform
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, or equivalent and 7+ years of industry experience
Strong understanding of HV battery system architecture, components (cells, modules, pack, BMS, charging), and their functionalities.
Proficiency in electrical circuit analysis, wiring diagrams, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Experience with mechanical integration aspects, including packaging, thermal management, and structural integrity of battery systems.
Hands-on experience with testing and validation of HV battery systems at various levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $205,556 - $241,830 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
