We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. The goal of this Quality Inspector at Wisk is to ensure first pass quality and compliance within the Production and Quality system. You will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that will be building the future of Urban Air Mobility on the next generation aircraft.

Why we need you:

  • The goal of this Quality Inspection role at Wisk is to inspect and validate engineering requirements have been met. Your expertise will be focused in motor assembly, battery assembly or final assembly shops, depending on your previous experience. While performing this task you will build and promote cross functional relationships with manufacturing and engineering teams ensuring Quality supports throughout the production lifecycle.
  • The successful candidate has hands-on, applicable experience and background within manufacturing or quality roles. Previous aerospace experience is preferred. This candidate is highly dedicated, knowledgeable and has direct experience working with manufacturing and engineering teams on executing the proper inspections and has an ability to problem solve to help expedite solutions. This candidate also demonstrates sound decision making with product inspections and can document nonconformance records as identified with all necessary detail.
  • In this role, the candidate must be a highly motivated, forward thinking individual that's willing to expand roles within the greater Enterprise Quality team. Candidates must be experienced using common inspection and measurement tools to accurately perform various inspections on aircraft products, system components, raw materials etc.

What you will do:

  • As part of the Enterprise Quality organization, you will be assigned to one or more manufacturing shops, such as motor assembly, battery assembly or final assembly and act as a representative of the Enterprise Quality team to make inspection decisions.
  • You will refer to necessary engineering drawings and specifications and utilize typical inspection tools to perform your inspections.
  • You will help support problem solving activities with the greater Production Systems, Supply Chain, Manufacturing organizations to drive continuous improvement.
  • You will execute shop inspection requirements, documenting nonconformances and assisting with corrective action investigations.
  • As a Wisk Quality Inspector, you will help define the future of Urban Air Mobility through assisting with the development of the Generation 6 aircraft.

What you have done:

  • Minimum of 3 years working within a manufacturing environment performing any of the following activities as a technician or inspector: mechanical assembly, electronic component assembly, battery module assembly, troubleshooting, wire harness installation or assembly, aircraft component subassembly or final assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, inspection tool usage, and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • General understanding of Quality Management Systems, Quality processes.
  • You have an applied understanding of how to select the correct inspection tools and perform evaluations to make inspection determinations.
  • Competent and knowledgeable of general inspection methods, equipment and tools.

Desired:

  • +5 years of aerospace experience.
  • Experience with composite layup and/or assembly concepts in a quality or manufacturing role.
  • General aerospace standards familiarization (AS9100, ISO9001 AS9102 etc)
  • Certification and conformity experience as it relates to the FAA code of federal regulations, part 21.
  • A strong and applied knowledge of composite layup concepts that related to the build of complex parts, products.

Pay Range the Company expects to pay:$87,609 - $103,069per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
