We are looking for a Production Integration Lead to join our Production Engineering organization and partner with the Propulsion product team. The Production Engineering team is responsible for development and implementation of the production system across the Gen 6 product and for the future. In this role you will work cross functionally to inform and represent production system requirements and plans as part of the Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT). You will be the champion for the production system vision and strategy in the IPT and partner closely with IPT Lead and program manager. In addition, the production integrator will be a critical stakeholder in build integration across the production system, representing the propulsion team and supporting strategic facility, resource, capability and build plan activities.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Headquarters office in Mountain View, California. It may also require regular weekly travel to the flight test and final assembly facilities in Hollister, California and test facilities in Fremont, California depending on the business need.

In this role you will work cross functionally to inform and represent production system requirements and plans to the Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT).

What you will do:

  • As a production integrator, you will be responsible for program planning and execution of all production development, design and build integration within the Propulsion IPT.

  • Responsible for ensuring the maturity of the production system for the propulsion product develops at the same rate at the product design

  • Ensure the product design is compliant with Key Performance indicators and MR&Os for the production system.

  • You will work as part of the product IPT and partner closely with the Program Manager and IPT Lead on program planning, priority development and maturation of the specific production deliverables for product development.

  • Accountable for development and execution of the integrated build plan for the propulsion system including leading development efforts related to the production system requirements, integration, validation and risk management.

  • Partner with production functions to ensure alignment of functional processes, technical standards and feedback on execution of these at the product level.

  • You will consult production expansion plans, capacity planning and analysis, trade studies, build integration and optimization experiments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in the production and/or development of complex items that are subjected to regulatory compliance.

  • You have worked in aerospace, automotive, electronics or medical device production for a minimum of 5 years

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with technical project management

  • Minimum of 5 years leading cross functional teams

  • This role will require 5-10% of travel

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $185,725 - $218,500 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
