We are looking for an Aerospace Quality Inspector to join our team. The goal of this role at Wisk is to effectively Inspect, validate requirements and help support the overall Quality team become stronger. You will be part of the Quality Organization which validates the aircraft build meets engineering requirements while effectively partnering with our production counterparts.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
In this role you will:
- Inspect composite assembly with varying levels of geometric complexity.
- Inspect final assembly parts including, torque witness, wire run installations, battery installations, fuselage skin adhesive bonding.
- Validate process work instructions and engineering specifications are followed during the installation process.
- Accept products in our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Write Nonconformance Reports (NCR’s) as needed.
- Represent the Quality Inspection Team when collaborating with our manufacturing counterparts.
What you will do:
- You will support inspections for various production teams and work closely with, production personnel and engineering personnel in a collaborative manner.
- You will help support problem solving activities that arise from inspections performed and partner with Quality Engineering to identify causes and solutions.
- You will help coordinate inspections that need to be performed and prioritize them as needed.
- As an Aerospace Quality Inspector, you will help define the future inspection techniques from lessons learned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment and assembly processes, including knowledge of composites, epoxies, wire harness installations and sealants.
- Applied knowledge of inspection concepts including: strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints (including GD&T), knowledge of precision measuring instruments (like micrometers and calipers).
- Collaborative attitude to interact effectively with manufacturing and engineering personnel.
- General understanding of Quality Management Systems, including AS9100 and FAA part 21, Quality processes and tools required to perform duties.
- You have a strong and applied understanding of interpreting engineering drawings & specifications and are able to perform practical measurements of detail and assembled parts to make inspection determinations.
- Comfortable making the difficult decisions between good and bad products.
- Able to document findings within nonconformance reports with clear descriptions of the defect as compared to the requirement.
- Able to use common computing systems such as Google docs, Google sheets and other google applications
- Strong knowledge of composite clean room requirements, composite ply layup, interpreting engineering drawings and specification, analyzing autoclave cure data.
- You have a strong and applied knowledge of composite layup, assembly and manufacturing for complex parts and products.
- Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- IPC-610 "Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies"
- IPC-620 “Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies” certified

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $43 - $51 per hour - The starting base rate within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
