We are looking for a Certification Specialist to join our team. The goal of a Certification Specialist at Wisk is to help define a path to build and certify the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. You will be part of the Certification team that ensures that we achieve Type Certification as well as support continued airworthiness and sustaining engineering efforts.
This position is Remote in the US and will require travel as needed.
In this role you will effectively develop and implement cross-functional processes in support of the integration of design, production, and certification efforts across the organization. Candidates must be proactive, self-motivated, and forward thinking individuals that can assist engineers and FAA designees through critical regulatory process requirements. In this role, the ability to interface and communicate effectively across various technical functions is required.
What you will do:
Interface with Wisk engineers and FAA designees to gather and compile technical data in support of creation of various FAA-mandated process documents (Requests for Conformity (RFCs), Statements of Compliance (8110-3s), etc.).
Interface with FAA IT representatives as necessary to gain and maintain Wisk access to the FAA’s National Automated Conformity Inspection Process (NACIP) and Designee Management System (DMS).
Coordinate with FAA designees – e.g., Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs) – to create RFCs in support of compliance showings to the FAA
Coordinate with FAA designees – e.g., DERs – to create 8110-3 forms in support of compliance findings for Type Certification
Provide program management and coordination oversight for in-house and contracted FAA designee activities (e.g., coordinate design review and approval, maintain consulting contracts, etc.)
Coordinate and track in-house release status, designee review/buy-off, and submission of FAA deliverables for acceptance/approval
Requirements:
At least ten (10) years of experience coordinating formal document creation/approval in support of creation/maintenance of Type, Airworthiness, and/or Production Certificates in the context of at least one of the following 14 CFR Parts; 23, 25, 27 or 29.
Experience with conceptualizing, authoring, and executing organizational-level processes and work-instructions.
Additionally, experience with or familiarity of the following are preferred/desired:
FAA Order 8110.37 and/or FAA Order 8000.95
TeamCenter or equivalent Product Data Management (PDM) experience
Navigating and interacting with standardized online forms and processes
Operating in a structured Project Management (PM) environment.
Configuration Management (CM) principles and working standards.

Pay range the company expects to pay: 115,812 - 136,250 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
