We are looking for a Staff Systems Test Engineer to join the Systems Test Team. You will be responsible for commissioning and operating test assets used for the Development, Integrated Testing and V&V of Wisk Aircraft Systems.

Due to the nature of the work, this position is onsite based in Fremont . Occasional travel to Hollister and Mountain View facilities will be required.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and Operate complex Integrated System Test assets.

  • Drive a cross functional team to develop Test Asset Specifications, Plans and Scripts.

  • Follow on the development of test assets from requirements definition to final commissioning.

  • Write test specifications, assembly documents, operation manuals and maintenance manuals.

  • Create Test Procedures, Plans and Scripts.

  • Review wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.

  • Select data acquisition devices and Integrate them into test setups.

  • Automate test execution, data collection and post-processing to increase test cadence, improve reporting, ease operation and increase safety.

  • Support procurement and hands-on maintenance of the test fixtures.

  • Source and Coordinate external suppliers.

  • Define the Certification and Conformity path for the integrated test asset.

  • Execute Manual and Automated Test cases, Analyse results.

  • Troubleshoot and Repair mechanical, electrical and software issues during testing.

  • Maintain test assets, configuration management, calibration log and upgrade them with the latest hardware and software versions.

  • Ensure and improve safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree.

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Hands-on experience operating test assets and executing tests.

  • Experience with complex System Level testing.

  • Knowledge of Aircraft System Architectures and/or High Voltage power distribution.

  • Experience managing Complex Test program and Multi-Functional teams.

  • This role likely requires travels to Wisk facilities in Mountain View, the Flight Test facility in Hollister, and potentially other Wisk/Boeing facilities where integration testing takes place.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

  • You are a highly motivated, self starting individual with a broad set of skills and never afraid of facing complex technical challenges.

  • You are a solution oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset.

  • You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communications to suit the audience.

  • You can adapt quickly or propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion.

  • You embrace challenges and take commitments and deliver results within reasonable expectations.

Desired:

  • Experience on aircraft verification program including test for certification credit.

  • Knowledge of aircraft system architectures, avionics, and/or high voltage power distribution.

  • Familiar with aerospace processes and standards: e.g. DO-160, DO-178, ARP4754A.

  • Familiar with National Instrument (NI) tools and hardware (Veristand, Labview, PXI).

  • Familiarity with Linux.

  • Coding experience (C++, Python)

  • CAD modeling experience (NX preferred).

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $153,408 - $180,480 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
