About The Company

Zonneplan is a forward-thinking company dedicated to creating a sustainable future by eliminating fossil energy use in the Netherlands. Our mission, known as Plan Zero, focuses on zero emissions, zero waste, and zero dependency. We leverage cutting-edge generative AI technologies to empower both our customers and colleagues through innovative AI-driven solutions. Our Applied GenAI Team embodies a Silicon Valley mindset, rapidly transforming ideas into production-ready systems within days, not months. We foster a collaborative environment where experimentation and ownership are encouraged, all aimed at accelerating the energy transition in the Netherlands.

About The Role

As a GenAI Engineer at Zonneplan, you will be the technical owner of our generative AI solutions, including systems like Kiki, our AI assistant handling over 120,000 conversations monthly. You will take end-to-end responsibility for designing, building, monitoring, optimizing, and evolving agentic systems. Your work will involve testing the latest large language models (LLMs), speech-to-text models, and other generative AI technologies on real customer interactions. You will create and integrate AI agents within our proprietary platform, AgentOS, and develop evaluation frameworks to continuously improve agent performance based on real-world feedback.

In this role, you will also be responsible for building and maintaining the knowledge bases and context agents require, using technologies such as knowledge graphs (Neo4j) and vector databases. You will automate workflows with tools like n8n to improve internal processes and enhance colleague productivity. This position offers significant responsibility and freedom to experiment with frontier AI models and development stacks, enabling you to make a meaningful impact on the energy transition.
