Project manager - software development

Welcome to the Fuel Engineering team in Westinghouse. We are 25 employees in roles such as Project managers and Fuel- and Development engineers that together leads projects towards customers and development projects.
Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As Project manager here with us, your responsibility is to manage software development projects. Among other things, this means that you will:
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management and highlighting important achievements, risks, and next steps.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
In addition to your daily tasks we hope to see you foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and improve process enhancements.
You will be placed in Västerås and you will have a hybrid work schedule. Travelling is a part of the role mainly within Europe and US.
We are looking for you
To be a good match for this role, we believe that you are good at communication and collaboration as the work includes teamwork within and outside of our organization. You have experience in project management and are motivated to learn more about the nuclear industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
- 3+ years of experience as Project Manager, positive in software development
- Knowledge of waterfall, hybrid and Agile methodologies
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.
Meritorious:
- Master degree in Computer science, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience from the nuclear energy sector
- Project Management certifications (PMP, SAFE, Scrum Master, or equivalent)
- Professional proficiency in Swedish, or other European language.
