Senior Operational Buyer

To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position Senior Operational Buyer for Global Sourcing. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop sourcing plan and source all types of materials and services for direct procurement activities.
- Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets, ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
- Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, risk assessment, negotiating pricing, delivery, and Terms &Conditions aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components, and services for assigned commodities
- Working with legal counsel and contract team to develop procurement contract Terms & Conditions and ensure all internal stakeholders requirements are negotiated and reflected in Ts&Cs.
- Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensure payment
- Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders
- Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers
- Proactively manage on-time deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects)
- Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable
- Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with the Commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies
- Explore alternate sources for goods and materials
- Closely collaborate with your internal customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Support GSCS Account Manager to complete supply chain input for Asia LOAs
- Drive cost savings and reductions as per the plant’s targets
- Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
- Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices)
- Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims, and disputes
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications
- Execute implementation of our supply chain strategies
- Supervise, train and mentor junior supply chain professionals as needed
- Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk that could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
- Coordinate daily work with accordance to volume and plant’s requirements
- Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for allocated plant(s) in a given country
- Support and promote a culture where a high quality of work is the norm
Education Level:
BA in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or similar
Years of Experience: Track record: minimum 3 years of experience in global sourcing
Skills and Competencies:
- Fluency (written and spoken) in English
- Experience in corporate environment, operational areas (manufacturing, assembly, distribution), supply chain, ideally in the nuclear or highly technical areas
- Very good communication & negotiation skills
- Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Proficient use of SAP or equivalent ERP system is required
- Data Analytical and reporting skills with an eye for details
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues
- Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture
- Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality and on time.
- Experience in setting priorities, informing on risks and when appropriate making decisions
- Excellent communication, teamwork, solution orientation, and collaboration skills
- Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
- Knowledge of manufacturing, customized automated equipment, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable.
