Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):

    • Hardware design for DCS cabinets, including system architecture design, control cabinet design (Power, grounding, IO allocation), network design.
    • Software design & implementation for DCS (Distributed Control System), based on system design input including technical and quality requirement.
    • Review and summarize the work from team members, work with managers and other department to develop project schedule and implementation plan.
    • Draft test procedures and conduct the testing to verify the software/hardware design meet the requirement.
    • Design and implement the communication between DCS and third party. Familiar with the popular communication protocols in the industry: MODBUS, Profibus, OPC, etc.
    • Travel to site to support site commissioning
  • Education: B.S/M.S in I&C Engineering/Automation/ thermal energy and power engineering / Electrical Engineering/Computer Science
  • Years of Experience: 10+
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • 10 years’ experience on DCS software/hardware design and implementation, from DCS vender or design institute or commissioning organization. Has been in technical leader role to deliver a DCS system for 600MW unit (or above).
  • Experience on Emerson Ovation platform is a plus.
  • Experience on DCS site installation and commissioning on 600MW (or above) unit.
  • Experience on communication between DCS and third-party devices with standard industry protocol: Modbus, Profibus.
  • Knowledge on power plant equipment: pumps, valves, sensers. Understand the function of the power plant systems,
  • Smooth English in written and verbal.
  • Compliance of safety, environmental and quality policy
  • Strong ownership, teamwork and self-motivation is required.

Professional Certifications: CET-4

Desired: The background/experience for programming is a plus
