We look for 1 engineer that will join the Testing Services team within Westinghouse Operating Plant Services.


Testing engineers will develop both technical and project managing skills, performing and leading testing and maintenance activities both in our Madrid Headquarters and onsite at our Client’s facilities. Current portfolio includes Nuclear Power Plants (both in Spain and abroad: Belgium, Slovenia, Mexico, South Africa, etc.) as well as other electrical generation plants and industrial facilities.


Testing services organisation cover a wide range of technical areas of expertise, mainly in electrical, mechanical and instrumentation fields, related to plant components and systems testing and maintenance. Our scope also includes testing equipment development, maintenance and calibration.


Current opening is oriented to:


  • Special Tests organisation, including:
    • HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), air treatment and Habitability systems and components testing.
    • Electrical testing

New recruit will be oriented according to education, skills, prior experience and interests. Personnel will receive specific training and qualification both in technical and project management areas, adapted to candidate current knowledge and expertise.

Main tasks/functions:

  • Perform and supervise maintenance and inspection/testing activities both in Client's facilities and in headquarters.
  • Develop/write result reports, procedures, quality documentation, maintenance manuals, etc.
  • Analyse test results, perform calculations, make improvement proposals.
  • Prepare (technical) tenders.
  • Attend internal and external audits.
  • Manage testing equipment: maintenance, calibration, check-ups. Implement improvements, develop new tools, R&D.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process: technology surveillance, self-training, training to junior personnel
  • Over time and based on previous experience, include project manager activities: Organization of personnel in charge to define deadlines and priorities; direct dialogue with the customer, leadership of activities in the Plant and at Headquarters

Job requirements:

  • Engineering degree (mechanical/electrical preferred, also electronics, instrumentation, etc. can be accepted)
  • Availability to travel to Client's facilities for outage projects. National (Spain) and International.
  • Spanish & English Level: Fluent (min B2).
  • Strong technical interest, predisposition for multi-tasking, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required.
  • Previous technical experience both in industrial and nuclear fields, although not required, will be valued
