The US Accounts Receivable Supervisor in our Global Business Services group and reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager. This role will manage a team of contract accounts performing centralized Accounts Receivable Billling, collections and cash application primarily located in Poland. This role will be required to lead efforts around process improvements and standardizations of procedures. Provide metrics that can be used to direct the flow of AR activities and identify continuous process improvement activities. Ensure financial controls and daily operations within the receivables process are designed and operating effectively and are SOX compliant.


Your Day to Day:

  • Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Lead to ensure daily accounts receivable processes and systems are being completed timely and accurately.
  • Lead a professional staff including creating team goals, monitoring of assigned tasks, providing real-time feedback, coaching and development, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate invoice processing issues and recommended solutions to relevant parties such as US Manager, Commercial Integration, Project Managers, Account Teams, etc. to ensure that AR processing issues are addressed.
  • Create, maintain, and manage key performance indicators. Identify where future focus should be and plan improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to identify performance or personnel productivity trends. Proactively seek ways to improve the process and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide direction to Accounts Receivable associates on how to resolve issues, prioritize work, and communicate effectively with external and internal customers.
  • Oversee internal and external audit activities, ownership of controls assessment compliance reporting, ensure compliance with established policies and procedures of Westinghouse.
  • Lead weekly Accounts Receivable team meetings to support operations and drive efficiencies in daily operating processes.
  • Understand and be able to perform the duties of the Contract Accountant and Cash Application Accounts Receivable staff.
  • Assist with AR related initiatives or projects as assigned.

Who You Are:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

5+ years relevant experience in processing complex Accounts Receivable billings and experience managing direct reports

  • ERP & Financial Reporting Software Experience: SAP preferred
  • Technical accounting skills (theory and application)
  • Professional with strong overall business acumen
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy; well organized
  • Be proactive, self-starting and self-motivating
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and develop direct reports
  • Ability to work with detailed information while also understanding the “big picture”
  • Effective team player who interacts well with others
  • Communicate internally and externally with diplomacy and tact
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize daily competing priorities
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) MS Excel user who understands / applies advanced Excel features
  • Possess a High Degree of Integrity and Exhibits Ethical Behavior
  • Travel <10% to EMEA
