Senior I&C Instructor (Hybrid)

About the role:
As a I&C Training Instructor II you will create training procedures, INPO documents and NRC regulations for AP1000 and legacy plant PWR systems like integrated operations and maintenance like AP1000 PWR procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, Technical Specifications and Conduct of Operations Manual. You will work w/ Learning Management System(s), Electronic data storage/retrieval databases like EDMS
You will report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager for Competency Development & Nuclear Operations. This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Madison, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation provided. We can entertain candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Assignments associated with the implementation of training materials
Implement training procedures, INPO documents and NRC regulations
Write test questions that meet nuclear industry standards
Search technical references such as the NRC and INPO websites for information like lessons learned and operating experience
Learning Management System (LMS)
AP1000 and legacy plant PWR systems
AP1000 PWR procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, Technical Specifications and Conduct of Operations Manual
Electronic data storage/retrieval databases like EDMS
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience
A bachelor’s degree in science/engineering OR
A High School Diploma/GED holder AND Successful completion of United States Navy nuclear field pipeline training program
Working knowledge of operating procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, and other Technical Documents.
4 or more years of experience in the following areas:
Navy Nuclear Operator OR
Commercial Reactor Operations OR
Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Engineer OR
Instrumentation and Control Technician OR
Commercial or civilian nuclear experience
25% travel to remote locations
