RIM Technician 2

The Records and Information Tech 2 is responsible for efficiently managing Westinghouse business records, thereby enhancing the quality and accessibility of information available to the project participants and to functional departments in a coordinated, comprehensive and cost-effective manner.

Your Day to Day:

  • Input, review and/or verify all information entered in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to ensure completeness and correctness. Identify necessary actions to correct any incorrect data before archiving via EDMS.
  • As needed, verify entries already submitted are correct and complete and take necessary action to correct any incorrect data already archived.
  • Locate and retrieve information from various sources and provide information to requestor in correct format.
  • Convert electronic document formats into the appropriate Westinghouse format to enable permanent long-term storage and retrieval per procedure.
  • Proactively identify problems, discrepancies and process improvement opportunities as needed.

Who you are:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and tool utilities.
  • Ability to perform data entry into EDMS.
  • Basic understanding of record attributes.
  • Basic knowledge of revision/version control.
  • Basic knowledge of document types.
  • Basic understanding of web-based technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of query/search functions.
  • Basic knowledge of records management security policies.
  • Basic understanding of critical thinking skills to perform RIM activities.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
