Your Day to Day

  • Responsible for all project controls activities for moderate to high complexity project, a portfolio of low complexity projects, or for a subset of high complexity projects or programs scope.
  • Lead teams through all phases of a moderate complexity project.
  • Serve as a project controls subject matter expert focusing on project scheduling to include capture of estimated costs.
  • Ability to produce schedule related metrics and other reports as required.
  • Must have advanced skills in communication, and leadership.
  • Extensive Primavera scheduling experience required.
  • Must understand Work Breakdown Structures and their application regarding project scheduling.
  • Excel software experience required.
  • Coordinate required tasks/deadlines. Escalate issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, which includes, but is not limited to project scheduling, establishing schedule baselines, and associated risk registers.
  • Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced, and overall project performance is optimized. Apply schedule, cost, and/or risk analytics to confirm validity of schedules.
  • Lead schedule, cost, and/or risk activities. Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements to functional groups. Process subsequent schedule changes following an integrated change control process.
  • Participate as an active contributor to assigned project teams.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication, which includes maintenance and dissemination of project metrics to ensure team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of project status.
  • Develop or oversee project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work and throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as project controls point of contact for internal customers in support of the project
  • Integrate project’s objectives and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern.
  • Identify, assess, and implement value-added improvement opportunities which will improve overall project performance.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you’d bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline; or equivalent demonstrated skills within project management, project controls, and project scheduling.
  • 10+ years construction project scheduling experience for technical and/or engineered projects.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Profession certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate must be self-driven, capable of staying on task with minimal supervision, and able to drive project controls tasks as a valued member of the team.
