We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Integration Engineer in support of the eVinciTM microreactor.


Your Day-to-Day:

1. Lead interface with Customers on early works contracts

a. Drive cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions that support Customer deliverables

b. Develop technical resolutions of issues and present to leadership internal and external to Westinghouse

c. Understand and effectively communicate technical solutions at a macro level and lead implementation efforts with the engineering team

2. Lead cross functional engineering teams (e.g. Engineering, Licensing, SCM) to develop solution paths for emergent issues involving highly complex technical issues

a. Develop effective working relationships across organizational boundaries and with key stakeholders (both internal and external)

b. Develop flexible strategies to support design, inclusive of schedule and budget

c. Lead team meetings and ensure deliverables and handoffs are executed

d. Capture lessons learned and implement best practices

3. Drive and support preparation of technical resolution paths of emergent issues related to facility product/project lifecycle

a. Develop and apply state of the art problem solving and management techniques for complex technical, project and supply issues across Westinghouse

b. Leverage Westinghouse expertise across different functional disciplines and global work locations

c. Drive decision making that meets project technical, commercial, and schedule needs

4. Issue design documentation in the form of Project Requirements and other key project documentation.

a. Review design documentation to ensure flowdown of requirements

b. Lead engineering team through requirement decomposition and ensure traceability throughout the design process

5. Support the Equipment Qualification (EQ) team. Lead efforts to drive testing to closure and support overall strategy.

6. Support Reliability Engineering efforts that drive downstream engineering design

7. Participate and lead Failure Mode Effect Analyses (FMEAs) and System/Component Design Reviews

8. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with peers and executive management

9. Bring engineering rigor to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely or only partially defined, requiring knowledge and experience within given discipline.

10. Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners such as national laboratories, sub-contractors, partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.

11. Drive results with high accountability while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to lead efforts in support of critical path schedule activities for project milestones, while concurrently managing many tasks

12. Travel requirements: 0-10% as needed


Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical or Civil Engineer preferred. 2. Typically a minimum of 8 years of applicable engineering experience. 3. Knowledge of the design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) plants and/or familiarity with advanced reactor technology and designs.

4. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. 5. Experience in making presentations and facilitating meetings.
