Senior Engineer - Transient Analysis (Hybrid)

About the role:
As a Senior Engineer you will perform design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for non-Loss of Coolant Accidents (non-LOCA) transients.
You will report to the Manager of Transient Analysis for Safety Analysis, Risk Applications, & Licensing. You will work hybrid based in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities:
Develop and assess models and correlations for prediction two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
Perform nuclear reactor safety analysis and development of analysis methodologies, models and correlations for prediction two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena consistent with regulatory requirements
Develop work scope technical descriptions for customer proposals
Perform reload safety evaluations for each plant cycle
Be cognizant of plant specific licensing basis, analyses of record
Main contact for plant-specific non-LOCA or containment analysis specific inquiries from both internal and external customers
Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis
Participate on project teams
Lead assigned group work activities as assigned
Communicate with responsible project manager on status of work projects
Qualifications:
8+ years of applicable experience
B. S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering Required
Establish and implement personal goals and action plans
Work w/ remote teams
Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues like project status, problem resolution and engineering recommendations
Less than 10% travel to domestic and international sites may be required
