In the framework of implementing Westinghouse's R&D and Innovation new Operating Model, the Manager, PMO Methods, Tools & Processes is accountable for supporting a common vision and common language on Innovative methods, process, and tools to support R&D and Innovation strategic objectives globally. He/She carries out his\her mission in a transversal team ensuring the alignment between business & market vision and the R&D and technology actions within Westinghouse. Participation in the monitoring, support, and evolution of innovation tools (tools, KPIs and communication). As part of the implementation of the mission in Innovation, this leader is under the authority of the Director of Innovation PMO. He/She carries out his/her mission in team with the D&I team and the rest of BU and entities globally.


Your Day to Day:

  • Define, engineer, and implement a common language when defining R&D and Innovation methodologies, tools, and process at Westinghouse.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training to support implementation of standards innovation tools in Westinghouse.
  • Promotion and dissemination of the innovation, entrepreneurship, and pioneer culture (SharePoint animation, communication tools, etc.) in alignment with D&I leadership and globally at Westinghouse including supporting creative and ideation workshops transversally and globally in Westinghouse
  • Identify, build, and animate a network of innovation “referents” or “innovation methods and tools experts” within Westinghouse (organization of a workshop once a year, census, etc.) and identify critical skills for R&D and Innovation in alignment with Sr. Director R&D and Technology Development
  • Advice, coaching and support to the BUs on the use of innovation tools: b-canvas, creativity, design thinking, scrum, rapid iterative development approaches adapted to Westinghouse culture and the need of the R&D and Innovation project.
  • Define the level of the business case, defining templates and tools to support portfolio management in alignment with D&I teams and financial teams.
  • The Methods Innovation advisor will participate and propose ideas for the communications plan, tools together with the rest of the D&I team and Technology Marketing advisor (Innovation Board materials preparation, Innovation Day, newsletters, blog, open innovation digital challenges…)
  • In charge of the methodologies, tools and process benchmark with external entities to build the “best-in-class” methods for Westinghouse R&D and Innovation delivery strategies.
  • Ensures execution rigor across all projects.
  • Ensures a culture of entrepreneurship and pioneer within the D&I department and Westinghouse globally.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelors required, Master of Science in a relevant discipline and/or MBA preferred (or other advanced degree) or on-hands experience
  • At least 15 years of experience leading cross-functional, global teams
  • Strong business leadership, executive communication, negotiation, and analytics skills
  • Experience effectively leading multiple technology development initiatives simultaneously
  • Comfort level with both technology roadmaps and financial reporting
  • Experience with technical, strategic, and/or commercial partnering development with third parties of various forms
  • Experience with business case development, pitch decks, product/market fit, and other innovation concepts
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries, comfort operating with assumed authority as opposed to organizational authority.
  • Ability to lead and develop a globally dispersed workforce.
  • Strong presentation skills are needed in this role.
  • Knowledge and Experience in the nuclear or energy industries is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to meet company needs.
