Assistant Engineering Technician - Nuclear Industry

No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity. These positions are hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at our Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
This position supports engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other specific skills acquired.
1. Assist in the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and/or graphic form requiring calculations
involving the use of basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
2. Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs.
3. Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw
data analysis.
4. Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
5. Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.
6. Run data analysis and/or computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems.
The Assistant Engineering Technician may also be asked to support various engineering activities in their assigned functional group which are not limited to the above list. This will allow them to learn new skills and grow in their knowledge of engineering processes.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- Associates Degree Required- technical curriculum is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No amount of experience will be permitted to substitute for the required education in a Nuclear Analysis Technician position. However, recognized technical programs will be permitted to substitute for the required formal education. Some examples of acceptable technical programs would be the Naval Nuclear or other military programs.
