Solar Construction Project Manager

About the role: We're looking for a Solar Construction Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 2-months contract assignment (W-2). You would need to be familiar with NYSERDA and EPC project management. Location: Avon, NY 14414. Per diem available. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management with overseeing ground-mounted system installation and coordinating with contractors to ensure adherence to local Avon, NY solar regulations.
  • Grid Interconnection: Will manage technical aspects of connecting high-capacity solar systems with the Solar Farm.
  • Will handle project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team member communication from development through commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with technical installation on commercial solar systems.
  • Need to have a strong ability to read and understand solar energy system drawings and schematics.
  • Helpful Qualifications: A two or four-year Technical Degree Experience with Helioscope or similar solar design software Background managing commercial solar projects from 50kW to 1.5MW scale Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
