The Electric Vehicles Infrastructure Officer is responsible for identifying and mapping optimal locations for infrastructure rollout, assessing these sites against agreed criteria, and working closely with the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to undertake feasibility studies.

The role supports the Programme Manager and wider project team in delivering the LEVI project, funded by the Department for Transport, and contributes to promoting sustainable transport by expanding access to public electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The role involves identifying suitable locations for EV charging infrastructure by considering factors such as off-street parking availability, population density, accessibility for EV users, and proximity to local amenities, as well as conducting feasibility assessments for potential charging hubs in terms of site suitability, costs, and electrical grid capacity.

It also includes ensuring that all project management systems and records are accurate, up to date, and compliant for audit purposes, alongside maintaining the project’s risk register. The post holder will work closely with stakeholders by supporting engagement and communications activities with local councils, communities, and businesses to promote an informed and coordinated approach to EV adoption, including contributing to demand registration and engagement tools.
